INDIANA POULTRY INTERN DAY - Thursday, July 30, 2026

On Thursday July 30, ISPA will be hosting Indiana Poultry Intern Day in Indianapolis. Interns from ISPA member companies, other Indiana agricultural organizations, and the state and federal agencies that support poultry are welcomed to participate!

The day will begin with introductions and short informal presentations by the interns about their experiences this summer. Presentations can be verbal only or the interns can bring a powerpoint presentation with them if they want to.

After lunch, the ISPA will lead roundtable discussions on current issues facing poultry producers.

Next the group will travel to the Indiana Statehouse to meet with policy makers. The Statehouse tour will include an explanation of the legislative process, how ISPA and other ag-based organizations work within the state and federal levels to affect policy and legislation, and we will hopefully get an opportunity to meet with elected officials supportive of the poultry industry in Indiana.

Poultry interns will hear from Indiana Board of Animal Health (BOAH), Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), Indiana State Department of Agricultural (ISDA), Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and other state agencies that regularly work with the Hoosier poultry industry.

There is no fee to register for Indiana Poultry Intern Day.
