On September 21, over 100 golfers from the poultry industry and their friends gathered at Plum Creek Golf Course (Carmel, IN) for the annual ISPA Johndrew Memorial Golf Outing. As players started on the course, they had sunny skies and temp’s in the 90’s, but as the afternoon went on the the breezes picked up and a light cloud cover rolled in for a perfect day of golf.
Golfers tested thier skills on select holes, competing in mini games (Closest To The Pin, Furthest Putt and Longest Drive). They also had the chance for big cash rewards on three Hole-In-One competition holes. Several golfers came close, but no one took home the prize. Maybe next year?
Everyone enjoyed a cookout lunch of hotdogs and burgers prior to the scramble start. While on the course everyone kept hydrated thanks to the two roving beverage carts! At the end of the day, there was time to mingle and share stories from the day’s play over appetizers and drinks. The top three teams were honored with special recognition going to the Last Place Team. The First Place Team amazed everyone with a team score of 53, while the Last Place Team reported a team score of 86! Congrat’s to all our winning teams!
The ISPA Johndrew Memorial Golf Outing honors, Frank Johndrew (1950 - 2020), for his many years of service as an ISPA Board Member, his dedication to the Hoosier poultry industry and his enthusiasm for the game of golf.
