This manual has been designed to help those who are seeking to recertify their Blood Testing Status.  Each Module reviews material covered in the Indiana Classroom based Blood Testing School. By reviewing these modules you will be prepared to pass the Recertification Exam.  

Those who are attending the Blood Testing School for the first time are welcome to review Modules 1 - 4.  By reviewing those modules, it will give you a better understanding of the material when it is covered in class.


Module 1 - An Overview of the NPIP  

          This module provides an introduction to the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP).

Module 2 - NPIP Regulations

          This Module reviews the rules and forms required by the NPIP.

Module 3 - Common Poultry Diseases

          This Module contains information on poultry diseases and and disease prevention that every Blood Tester should know about.

Module 4 - Basic Biosecurity  

          This Module will give you the skills to prevent and control disease in a typical poultry backyard flock.

Modules 5A - 5C apply only to individuals who have attended and successfully completed an Indiana National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) Blood Testing School Class.
